Back of My Bus Drivers Head

The pipedream of visiting the fabled Machu Picchu IS becoming reality.

Cusco is the last stepping stone before arriving at one of humanities feats of imagination and my achieving a dream of visiting what is the closest thing to a mythical city.  Over melodramatic... maybe... but how do you describe achieving a dream that you never really expected to come true?

When you have 6 hours stuck on a bus with not much but your thoughts, these strange notions seem to take shape.  I've heard say that extended trips, much like ours can lead to life changing decisions.  I expect there to be moments of enlightenment as new experiences, sights and emotions open doors to new ideas.  But... maybe all it is, is that you end up spending so much time sat on a bus, you stew in your own thoughts!!

I could have stayed in the UK and taken a coach to Edinburgh and back.  May have been cheaper- maybe not!!

This must be Liz philosophizing ?. James would be more concerned about the calluses on his btm. With respect I know one of his dreams has been to visit Machu Picchu.
May you both survive the 6 hour bus journey, you have been in training for a few weeks, and enjoy achieving your dream, together.
