Steve has harassed me in to making an entry on the blog so I am going to write about my two biggest loves in life, food and alcohol. Ooops sorry I meant my three biggest my loves, my husband who would go brown in an alaskan snow storm and is looking very fit at the moment and food and alcohol.

I never thought I would get sick of food but when I sat at the baseball game and got offered popcorn, hotgdogs, hot chocolate, candy, nachos, corn dogs, candyfloss and big foam fingers within the space of a 20 min gap even my love of food was tested. The popcorn stand was only 10 steps from our seat but they still feel the need to serve you in your chair. I wonder why the americans have the biggest obesity problem!!!!

Having not learnt my lesson from two previous trips to the states with Sarah and Sharon, Steve and I ordered nachos followed by sandwiches at the Cheesecake factory in San Fran, hoping to follow it with one of their amazing 39 flavours of cheesecake. We had enough food to feed a whole class of Steve's year 8 growing teenage boys and were thoroughly embarassed that the plates hardly fitted on the table. (see picture) Needless to say we left without the cheesecake but two large doggie boxes with leftovers for the week in hand.

Anyway, we have decided to cut down on the food and up the alcohol starting with Margaritas, which had you tasted at the wedding you would know are a very refreshing and very drinkable drink. However, as you may have guessed by now everything in America is BIG, see margaritas atached

Moved on to wine and very drinkable as California wine is, Steve keeps reminding me I am an expensive drinker so I have had to opt for cheaper options,

Have moved on to drinking Bud, but opting for Bud light in the hope that I don't come back with a beer belly to compete with the Park Royal faithful!!!

I have decided that despite running and swimming I cannot exercise enough to taste all the food I want to so have decided to concerntrate on my favourite dessert/cake. Knowing my family and friend Andrea's love of chocolate it had to be something chocolate based but the american chocolate is rubbish so I am going to focus on the one and only chocolate brownie.

It's a tough job but don't think it's been done yet so will keep you updated on the progress I have made.

I promise not all entries wil be about the brownie but I have to have something to keep my girlie friends interested.

Anyway, my first brownie is calling, Love you all loads
