We had a very scenic drive across the border and entered Chile for the first time stopping in the tiny town of San Pedro.  I got up horrendously early (3.30am!) in order to see the geysers and whilst I was waiting for the minibus I got my first glimpse of the southern cross.  The geysers were pretty impressive, when we first arrived there was a small one shooting out some water but only a few minutes later a larger one started gushing out water with loads of steam.  We spent a while looking at all the different geysers then went to the thermal pool which was not very hot at all, more luke warm, but I still dipped my feet in.  There was also some bigger geysers to entertain us.  On the way back we stopped to see flamingos and vicunas.
