Tom and Sandy Brown are awesome. They some of the most fun people I've ever been around, and the fact that they're both pushing 60 doesn't seem to matter. They're always joking and kidding around, yet at the same time, they're sincere people who you can have a serious conversation with. Tom is full of the best stories of mishaps and misadventures I have ever heard.

Originally I was introduced to them through Dave and Donna, but we spent a lot of time with them during my 4 month stay here. I specifically spent a great deal of time working on Splash Kingdom with Sandy. She was in charge of it, and she recruited me to help out with it. Splash Kingdom was definitely my biggest commitment the last 2 months I was down here, so I spent a lot of time with Sandy in that way.

Last week, I spent a few days at the Brown's house, which is in Mitla, a much smaller town about 45 minutes east of Oaxaca. Tom and Sandy were having friends from Puebla, Mexico, down for a visit, and they were bringing their 16 year old son, Tyler. I had met the Goodling family before - Mrs. Goodling was the nurse at Camp, and she gave me lots and lots of cough medicine... but I didn't know any of them that well. However, one of the reasons I went out to Mitla when I did was because Sandy was concerned Tyler would be massively bored. I volunteered to stay at their house the same time as Tyler, and I'm glad I did. He's a fun kid from Pennsylvania, and he's a big Attack Attack! fan. We hung out and talked about music, played ping pong and just had a good time tagging along on the adventures of Tom and Sandy, and their friends the Goodlings.

Good times were had all around.

If you see me wearing a brown shirt that says Mitla, Oax - Mexico... it's from the Browns - go figure :-)

I really enjoyed all the time I got to spend with Tom and Sandy - but the three days I stayed out there were an especially good time.
