Basically, I loved my visit to Gordon in March - and I finally got around to sending in my deposit and finalizing my admission as a Fall 2009 Freshman. I got my own "big boy" College email address:
$tephen dot collins at gordon . edu
(make the $ a regular S, the "dot" a period, the "at" an @, and remove all spaces... I don't want the spam robots to pick up my email from this blog :-)
With my "big boy" email, I was able to join a "big boy" College network on Facebook - Gordon MA '13 YAY!
Also, I registered for the Gordon La Vida Wilderness Experience - which, in short, is going to be AMAZING. I'll definitely be posting a blog entry after I'm done with it; it's a 12 day kayak trip in the Adirondack Mountains the week before Orientation with 9 other random freshman and sophomores... it's safe to say that I am completely stoked about this trip!
Other interesting things:
I sent my housing form in completely random - I didn't request a dorm, location, type, or roommate - because honesty, I don't know what's what anyways.
I was told that, even though I'm not going to be in the Music program, I can still bring my drums and have my own keyed practice room for them. How awesome is that?
My really nice admissions counselor sent me a mass-type email last week abruptly stating she was immediately finished working in the Gordon College Admissions Office... that was kind of sad, because she was very nice and helpful.
In the Gordon College Class of 2013 Facebook Group I found a Thai kid who is graduating this year from the Christian school in Chiang Mai - and he's going to Gordon next year - small world, right?
Enough for now.
