We already knew the island and wanted to go to Sting Ray City. We rented a moped ($55) and headed out to the East side of the island. Roads had improved since our last time and it was a pleasure to ride. The tour: you are taken in a small speedboat to an enclosure about 5' from shore where plenty of Sting Rays are happy to see you, or better the food you are going to give them. You get to hold a big one, feed them, swim (or stand as it's shallow) and perhaps see turtles and lobsters (we did). The whole thing takes about 75' and it's on the expensive side ($50). I enjoyed it but wouldn't do it again.
Afterwards we went to Dickenson bay for a couple of hours: nice but too turisty and crowded. Back to St.John to return the moped and stroll and back to the ship.
It's one of my favorite islands and its people are the friendlier.
