Perspectives at Roeland Street

Now it has gone so far. I moved to my definite flat in a building called Perspectives at Roeland Street. My appartment is situated at the 14th floor and the view is spectacular, I wouldn't have thought that such a thing was expecting me!! I am to share the flat with two other girls. They are very nice and luckily both English-speaking. One is from the UK, the other from the USA, so I wonder which accent I will have at the end of my stay, not to mention that I may also be influenced by the South-African accent and slang!!! Anyway, I discover the street little by little and I meet my boss this afternoon with Melanie, the responsible of the interns who kindly, gives me a lift till the firm.
Mr Buffler, CEO of Micro-MBA (Managing Business Activities)not to confoud with the MBA (Master of Business Administration) is a very kind man and makes me immediately feel comfortable. I begin my first day with a handful of homework to do. Back to school I will sippin on my sizzurp while watching the South African various channels another time. I work the entire day to understand in depth what kind of firm it is and what services it sells. I understand that I have to work in the marketing branch. The two oher employees are very sweet, Loulou and Combi are very genteel and kind, Loulou makes just wonderful teas with or without milk no matter, I do not care about it anymore!
Micro-MBA proposes actually basic business courses to people desiring starting an original business or to active entrepreneurs already in the business. It is particularly aimed at provinding the adequate skills to three categories of entepreneurs that is: the producers, the service providers and the traders. The concept has been rewarded many times and Mr Buffler obtained numerous prices for his socially-orientated project. I have to say that I am quite impressed by that philanthropic organisation, which was originally an NGO and became a firm afterwards. Already thousands of people followed the Micro-MBA courses at the Cape and in Joburg where there is a centre as well. Many of those people even come back to remain up-to-date and upgrade their skills. This is an abvious proof of the quality and efficiency of the service provided by the organisation. I think that it will be highly enriching for me to work amid such an organisation and although I have already a lot of work to do with all that books to read and brush up on, I really like it and I am willing to go on this way.
