After spending the longest day of my life in Beauvais, I finally made it to Roma. The flight on Ryanair was interesting. It was remeniscent of a bad bus trip with overcrowded conditions and stinky people.
Ciampino airport is slightly outside of Rome and it was a 50 euro cab fare ot meet my love at Piazza Navone, the most romantic piazza in all of Rome. The cab driver was crazy and I was exhausted with apprehension by time I got to the piazza, but it was all forgotten once I saw the first of two marble fountains by Bernini. Brian and Olga were having dinner somewhere in the piazza and I walked toward the center looking for him. I felt my heart leap in my chest as I spotted Brian, clearly in his element. He was sitting back with one arm across the back of his chair, the other hand holding a glass of red wine. His legs were draped one over the other as he chatted with Olga. I ran, squealing and threw myself into his arms. We kissed a hundred times before I even got a breath and I was soon gulping down Chianti and eating a long overdue dinner.
The Hotel Forum is old, quaint and scrupulously clean. It is built right against a wall of a ruin, same line as the Roman Forum which is right across the street. I dont remember much as the bed called my name. All I needed in life was to get horizontal next to my love and fall into a profound sleep. All my dreams came true.
