Cold and rainy, looking for a place to camp outside Capitol Reef, Rover started rattling, uh oh. The alternator bracket broke and took a small chunk of the timing cover with it, luckily not enough to be detrimental, but enough so that Steve couldn't fix it. We had it towed (making AAA fees worthwhile) to a metal shop in Bicknell Utah where they welded the bracket back together within the day… and it was a drizzly day anyway, so we didn’t miss much (even though the picture shows otherwise, the clouds did come in). I spent the day at their warm and cozy county library catching up on emails, while Steve waited around like a concerned parent while his child was in surgery. Not that I don’t care, I do, but knew I wouldn’t be able to help in any way (besides, Steve told me to go "geek-out" at the library). Afterwards, we found a spot to camp and it rained all night.
