Today we did our norm... get settled in our apt./house, get groceries and go explore the surrounding area.

We haven't seen any rioting yet, but we have seen the nutball driving.
So today that meant, unpack, get groceries right next door to our apt., and go to Copacabana Beach.

The apartment we rented definitely looked better on the internet! :)  It is fine, but the kitchen is WAY smaller than it looked in the pictures.  We are used to other countries having smaller kitchens, but this is up there with the smallest of  kitchens.

The grocery store... expensive, like a lot of other countries.  One unusual thing is the phone in the meat department.. I guess you use it if you have a question regarding your meat choices??? See pic of Stace and random shopper with a question about meat??

After getting all of our house work done we headed to Copacabana. Great beach as we expected, with a cool swell.  For dinner, we went to a buffet that charges by the 100 grams.  This makes you careful with what you put on your plate and you better eat it.  The perfect way to end a long day of travel.
