After visiting with Jimmy and Lisa we drove to Aunt Pam and Uncle Deans in Rosemond. We had a great time with them touring around town and then to the Airbase. From there we drove to Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon, Yosemite National Park and Mammoth Lakes. We spent the next two weeks camping and hiking and enjoying ourselves in the great California air.
The entire camping trip was amazing and we even saw a wild bear. We were hiking in Sequoia National Park about 2 miles in when we come around a bend and there is a bear about 100 yards to our left. Now they say when you see a black bear you should make yourself big and make noise and never back away or run. Well the first thing I did when I saw the bear looking at me was freeze and then start to back up. To my surprise the bear turned and ran very very fast into the woods. I was scared to death at first because I was not sure if it was running at me or not
The scenery in these California National Parks was some of the most beautiful I have ever seen and cannot wait to get back hear for some more camping. Actually, The sunset on Half Dome is the most beautiful I have ever seen. Do not miss the opportunity to see it change colors as the sun sets. Truly gorgeous.
The other thing about California is In and Out Burger. By far my favorite burger place. Have one and you will know what I am talking about. Please sign my guest book petition to get In and Out Burger on the East Coast.
Check out the photos.
Cheers

. After I realized the bear was running away I was shocked at how fast it moved. Throughout my travels I have learned that wild animals move much faster than we expect. From the sighting on Kay sang in a loud voice and made lots of noise. We never saw the bear again.
