This is one of 4 houses the family has, one being in Madrid and the other two in Salamanca. Like the one in Madrid this is a condo on the main floor, with a small yard that backs on to a common yard. Each condo has their own small private swimming pool, and you can see the beach from the living room! Out of 9 people living in the house, I am the only one with my own room. It has an ensuite bathroom with a soaker tub, great for relaxing bubble baths after a long day with the kids J My room has patio doors to the front terrace, which means I can come and go as I please and don't need to use the front door. Extremely convenient!

On a typical day, I get up between 9:30 and 10:00am. Breakfast is at 10:00, and then from 10:30-12:00 I spend 30 minutes with each of the 3 older children working on their English skills. Then we usually go to the beach, and then the swimming pool. Lunch is at 2:30 or 3:00, and after that I am ready for a siesta! Officially I am only required to spend 3 hours with the kids each day, besides lunch. However, because it is such an incredibly easy job, and there is not a lot to do here anyway, often I'll "watch" them in the evenings. Like last night, where we went at 6pm down to the marina where they went fishing, and I laid in the sun and worked on my tan while reading a book. Like I said, incredibly easy!

Often the kids will go over to a friend's house in the evening, or some other excursion. Sometimes I will go for a walk, or bike ride, or maybe go lay on the beach. During the day with the kids we are playing games, building sand castles and such so in the evening it is my time to relax. Also the afternoon sun is still pretty hot, so I don't like to roast too much! At about 6pm it's perfect though, most people have left the beach for the day and it is very quiet. The sand is warm, not burning hot, and the warm sun on your skin is fabulous. Sometimes the water is quiet, but often there is a pounding surf, which gives off a light mist. Add to that a small breeze, and it is absolute perfection.
