Besides sorting out all the issues with the theft, I have actually done a few other things since coming back to Madrid! Antonio took me shopping to some of his favourite spots, though it was a window shopping trip since my stuff had been stolen the night before :) Luis came and met us for drinks, and later we went for dinner with some very funny friends of Antonio & Maria's. Despite the trauma of the previous day, I laughed a lot!!
On Monday I met with the family, and worked out the job details for the summer. Tuesday sadly turned out to be the end of the line for Spain in the World Cup, as they got beat by France. It was fun watching it with some very passionate Spaniards though!!

Thursday Alex returned from San Sebastien where she had hoped to spend the week surfing (the weather was most unco-operative though!), so we had dinner and a nice long chat before heading out to Chueca to check out the Pride Week festivities. The whole area was shut down to traffic, and there were bars set up all along the streets. There were 3 different stages playing music, with tons of people dancing in the streets! One of the stages of course featured a drag queen lip syncing to "It's Raining Men"! What else would you expect. Then Saturday was the actual day of the Parade, with people in all states of dress, undress, and costumes. Later that evening the streets were alive once again, with music, dancing and of course drinking. It's just so different than home, where people would be calling to complain about the noise and things would be shut down by midnight!
