For our last night we headed in to town for one last time, this time for a medieval dinner and awards ceremony. The Spaniards so thoughtfully had got gifts for all the Anglos, and teh results from the voting were presented. Andres of course cleaned up, he definitely kept up entertained all week. And group 7 got a 3rd place vote for improv, much to our surprise (right Sally?)!
This morning we said our goodbyes, took some last minute pictures, and greeted the new group to arrive. Hard to believe that one week ago we were in their same shoes, not knowing each other or what exactly to expect! Here's to another great week, and the hope that I will be back one day soon to do it again!
And so, the end of another week at Pueblo Ingles! A lot of laughing, meeting some great people, relaxing in the sun, what more can you ask for? Some of the things I will remember are Alex, Mark and I bonding over being the young ones of the group, having some great laughs, and trying not to make eye contact at certain points (enough said, right guys?). Anglicized names of the Spaniards: Esteban-Steve, Vicente-Vincent, Jesus-Jesus (well the pronunciation is certainly different!). Staying up far too late, drinking far too much, lounging by the pool or on my air mattress (which has made it all the way from Croatia to Spain!), talking, lots of talking, laughing, and just generally having an amazing week! Cheers to the staff who were amazing, Esther as our PD and Brian as our MC, it was a fabulous wee. And the staff at the hotel, especially Peter and Diego, who not only provided great service, but told great stories, kept me laughing, and gave out heaps of free drinks! My bar tab was shockingly low ;)
