Thursday we visited Lulworth Castle, part of the huge estate owned by the father of our hostess! It is a beautiful castle that is very busy during wedding season in the summer. On the grounds is a church and a Catholic chapel, as well as an animal farm with all sorts of goats, sheep, peacocks, donkeys etc. Friday morning was time to say goodbye to Lulworth and our hosts, and begin the journey back to Soton. On the way we stopped at another castle (whose name is escaping me) and then Stonehenge, which was great! After 9 months in Europe it still amazes me how much history is here.

So, we had a great week! Lots of pub visits, great weather, stunning southern England views, history, sightseeing, we packed a lot in one week! Luckily for me I don't have to go back to work on Monday. Actually, Tuesday will find me on a plane headed for Spain...
