On Wednesday we dropped Dave off at a castle, then Lisa, Olivia and I went in search of a place called "Mas Janeil", to take a picture with the sign for our other best friend, Janeil, who is home in Canada! "Mas" means farm, and it was a quaint area of about 3-4 houses, surrounded by vineyards as far as you could see. We wanted a picture of both Lisa and I in front of the sign, and since there was no one else around and Olivia is to small to use a camera, we had to use the self-timer. Me trying to prop it on a rock, aim, set the timer and run to get in the picture in time without the camera falling over was very comical!

Thursday we went in search of the arboretum near Arques. We all had a different idea of what we would find, but none of us predicted the road we would take to get there! More of a horse trail or walking path than a road really. At certain points along the way Lisa or Dave had to get out and move trees, logs or branches blocking the road. What was I doing you might ask? Taking pictures and laughing my butt off! In the end we did find it, and had a lovely walk through the forest. It was a really warm sunny day, birds chirping, fresh air...very relaxing! I almost fell asleep at the end lying on a picnic table looking up at the trees.

So now our time in France has come to an end! Today we all fly to England. Lisa and crew are heading to Sheffield to visit Bry and Andy for a few days, then on to Washington, and back home to Calgary in a week. So their adventure is just about over. Me, I go back to Southampton for one day, then it's off to Egypt! Where the weather should be considerably warmer. And I may even ride a camel!
