Cape Leeuwin - Lighthouse and Waterwheel

After the Gloucester Tree we drove to Augusta.
We didnt stop in the town, we went straight to the lighthouse. It is located at Cape Leeuwin, the most Southern Westerly tip of Australia, where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet. We went on the guided tour which allows you to walk up the lighthouse to the very top and you can even go outside once at the top - which we did.... it is very windy! We learnt that the lighthouse used to be manually operated until 1982 - the lighthouse keepers worked really hard - there is no way on this earth we would take on the task of being a lighthouse keeper! Visit: http://www.lighthouse.net.au/lights/WA/Cape Leeuwin/Cape Leeuwin.htm The waterwheel was not that exciting, but still worth a look!

Sarah has 'forgotten' to mention that today whilst she was driving she had a bit of a 'Mad 1/2 hour'!
During this time she was mainly singing nonsense noises at the top of her lungs followed by random beeping of the vans horn, which she said was directed at the road, and i quote 'because it was being too straight.'
