Today we spent a good portion of the morning/early afternoon learning how wool/cashmere clothing products are made at Johnston's.  I must admit I was surprised by the curious mix of technology/hand labor that goes into making the clothing.  Certain things you would think as being highly automated were very manual and certain manual tasks were extremely automated.  Fortunately we had the time to go through their large gift shop.  If only the dollar was a bit stronger!   That afternoon, Tami, Paul, and I headed off to the Glenfiddich Distillery for a tour with Jim and Elaine Young, and George and Marjorie Duthie.  Heather and Rachel headed off to a local castle.  I've yet to hear how the tour was.  That evening we were hosted to a farewell Ceilidh (Kaylee) Elgin style.  It started with a whiskey tasting competition hosted by Sandy McDermott.  The GSE team with help from the President's son were split into teams of two with the goal of identifying 6 mystery glasses of whiskey.  Between the three teams we did not do very well Elgin Cathedral

.  Two teams were able to get one right; the third scored a big fat zero...  To ease our pain, we were each presented with a pint of whiskey as a memento.  We then had a nice buffet (boofAy) dinner and then the music, singing, and dancing began.  Finely Weir was the master of ceremonies as he played the bagpipes and led the singing.  It was expected that everyone lead a song at some point, so the GSE team led the group in a rousing version of "I'm Gonna Be" by The Proclaimers.  Again the girls wanted their picture with the men in kilts, so the Elgin ladies and I needed one in order to equal things out.  We will definitely have to take the Elgin Club up on their offer to join them for some hospitality in the Lodges at the district conference next weekend at Aviemore.
