We are at the half point of our trip....unbelievable! On one hand times seems to be moving slowly but the fast at the same time when I think of our journey so far!
This morning in Florence we are going to the Uffizi Gallery. The gallery has the largest collection of the Italian Renaissance painters in Italy. Our local guide - Ricardo - does an awesome job of taking us thru the development of Renaissance painting by selecting a few paintings by the Masters. Again paintings you have seen pictures of are quite different in person. We see the only painting by Michelangelo and Bottechili's Biothe of Venus.
The rest of the day is ours, so we head to the Boboli Gardens by way of the Ponte Vecchio bridge. The bridge is filled with jewlery shops selling gold and silver. I can't understand why Steve didn't want me to stop.
I will continue later as we are in Rome!!!!!!
