We got to Decatur & checked into a hotel, and Caleb came over to visit. We ended up going to the movie Jackass 3D, which was one of the most wrong movies I've ever seen, but was about the hardest I've laughed in a while.
So far, so good!
The next morning, after a breakfast of tea & crumpets (yeah, stayed at British Justin's place...lol!) I headed out to pick up Phil from his girlfriend's house. Soon we were on the road to Chicago to visit Phil's daughter Talor for her birthday. We had lunch with her and then hit the road again to drive to Decatur, IL, where Phil's son Caleb lives. The drive down was reasonably uneventful, except for a few quirky things developing with the Jeep. The first was that the cruise control began to turn off each time the left turn signal was used. The second was that the car kept trying to overheat, but could be cooled off by throwing the heater on. At a gas station, we realized that the radiator fan isn't functioning, so that's going to involve a little work later.
