It is pouring with rain here, rather miserable for camping ..the worst thing is having no place to put damp towels and jackets...And am not keen on cooking as we are all zipped up and I don't want cooking smells in the camper.... The ham here is very nice, so we had ham rolls for breakfast and supper last night!!! The weather forecast says the rain will continue for the next couple of days. We might be sick of ham rolls by then, but I see that we can have a barrel of ribs delivered...right to our campsite.... It is beginning to sound rather good.... We are in a nice campsite that we are paying a bit more for, but it has a spa pool, and indoor pool, and good facilities including wi fi... Better than the State Park under the trees in the mud, and putting quarters in the machine for a hot shower, and no wifi.... Just a hassle running in the rain to the communal restrooms.... And our heater has a problem so we are not very happy campers! Well, maybe Andy's okay! Decided to just stay put here for a today as with the mist and rain it is not good for seeing sights.and it's just too wet for Andy to go outside to disconnect and put down the roof. Were going to see Mt St Helens before we got here but changed our route, to the sea, as we realized that visibilty would be nil on the mountain...
So we are going to just relax and read and sit in the spa pool....
Check out the beautiful rhododendrons in the photo, just beautiful. if it stops raining I will go out and photograph more of them/ lovely spring flowers are all out along the road - yellow broome, white queen Anne's lace and rhododendrons and azaleas.... And around the spa are some sort of variegated pittosporum that give a lovely show...
Saw a lady taking her dog for a walk - the dog wearing the cutest little pink raincoat.
Really trying to fill up space so that the photo appears on this page....but news is limited today...Okay, the photo is there.....
Such a miserable entry, this, but am somewhat bored and so just fiddling with the travelpod site to try and work it out a bit better.... Getting to find my way around now on the site - worked out how to rotate a photo! Yay... Everything takes longer when you're over 60!!!! ....rain getting heavier and heavier.... Saw a sign showing the tsunami escape route on the way here, so that could be useful info!

Is the beach full of monster logs and trees like it is a little north of you?

Hi Donovans, I enjoyed reading your travels so far, hope the weather improved so Ann can go out and take some more photos.

So enjoying keeping up with your travels. I think you should become a published travel writer, Annie!
Roger is thinking of exporting some Winterberg Reds to Montana..they don't know what they are missing!
