We kids get up with the sound of Papa making his porridge, which he does every Sunday morning, and Mama making coffee. After that, we get dressed and eat the same usual stuff. Then we heard the big white truck of Laurnie (Papa's cousin and godfather) which was in the middle of parking behind our moter home. So Papa chatted with him and decided to follow Laurnie to his house where we visited Laurnie for a good hour. We also learned that he had a beautiful dog the colour of gold called Cassie. Cassie is a golden retriever. Laurnie had a beautiful house. It was very big on the outside and the inside. The house was parked right by his wife’s (Vi) mother’s house. Vi’s mother was one of 18 kids. Vi’s mother’s house was very antique. Me and Camden looked through the windows of the house and saw an old sewing machine from the year of 1930.It was pretty cool to see even if we didn’t get to touch it. From the window we also saw an old stair case which looked pretty worn out and also pretty rickety. The stairs on the stair case looked at least 2 feet wide. We saw a whole bunch of other old stuff from 1950 to1970 or 1980’s which was also pretty cool. After talking to Laurnie we left and are on our way back on the road to Yorkton. –Celina

We spent the rest of the afternoon travelling to Binscarth, a cutesy little campground with a free showers and wireless internet. Both were much needed. After planning a bike ride, we all suit up, only to find that the teenagers who run the campground "don’t really, like, umm, remember" if the site had biking or hiking trails. When we got our fire wood, we struggled to light it, receiving for our pains smoke filled lungs and eyes. Unfortunately, the smoke didn’t really do much to deter the mosquitoes. Cam has been our bait. We send him out first to attract all the bugs, than we walk out and enjoy relative comfort. Off to bed, hoping to get to Portage le Prarie tomorrow.           -Mercedes

I am sooooooooooooooo envious. If any of you want to quit the trip just let me know and I'll jump in, unless of course it is Chanel. She'd be the "baby bear" size...that would not work!!!
Enjoy and we'll do the same through the blog.

Hi everyone, Wish I was in the bus with you"ll.Guess what? No guess again, Kurt and I bought a 2 month old puppy yesterday morning. It is a shitsu-bichon cross - the cutest little thing. His name is Macks-- you know as in Macklin, first night last night and he only whined for 2-3 mins. We were very impressed. Macks will only get to be about 15 pounds or so --- VERY VERY CUTE and loveable, loves to be outside in the back yard which is all fenced also likes to nip at the flowers Must go help with supper now. Love to everyone-- be safe and have a great time. looking forward to more postings love and kisses Mom.

What a pilgramage. You can't get this kind of historical/geographical education from books. Celina & Mercedes have great writing skills - you guys are a hoot to read. Too bad it isn't in french (hi! hi!)
Have a great adventure,
Be safe,
Don't eat too much porridge, it's bad for you!
