Once again this isn't for people who don't know me. Please go somewhere else if you're looking to be a voyeur.
Well it looks like this is a year old now.
Some things I've learned this year:
Many many boys in this world act illogically. Pull away and hide for no good reason. Do so in a very selfish way. They'd rather give up friendships than communicate.
There are so many good looking women dating average guys. I see this constantly. I think it also means I don't see many guys I'd immediately label as good looking...
It's way more difficult to befriend boys when you are both single. Since I had few friends in highschool and had my first 5 year relationship when I was 19 this is something I've never noticed before.
Couple's cater to eachother's jealous and neurotic tendancies with cell phones. While on transportation (plane, train, bus) people are always using their cell phones to call their significant others about their arrival. The person on the other end, usually male, always seems to be like "Where ARE you? You said you'd get in by such and such" and the travelor always apologizing and saying "I'll be there soon. We're just taxying in/at the gate/walking up the platform" The travelor is always apologizing for things that are not her fault - namely planes, trains always being late and soothing the panicked boyfriend...
Why is there/have been so many "J"s in my life: Jeff, Jeffrey, Jonathan x 2, John x 2, Jessica, Jen, Joe x 2, Jamey, James, Jackie, Josh, Joshua, Jose, Julie(my mother)... This probably accounts for 1/4 of the people I'm friends with/aquanted with.
Also quite a number of Dave/David's and a handful of names derived from Mark. ????
Punk rock still rules ok.
I decided I really didn't want to have xmas in my life this year so I fully embraced United Cheesecake Holiday. From Dec 20-27th it's all about the cheesecake. Gifts are frowned upon but allowed if they have something to do with food, preferably cheesecake. It's pretty simple...
This year I decided to really fuck with xmas and do something I normally wouldn't do, and hopefully never do again. I have to say it was the best xmas I've had since I was told there was no santa claus. The second half of the day was spent at the Avalon arcade, playing 20 cent shooting games with another anti-xmas punk rocker. The first half of the day was similiar, but much more dangerous...
I'm not sure what new years will bring. Hopefully I'll spend it with one of these illogical boys, trying to patch up a friendship.
