Hey y'all. Not the best day to write, as I'm not very inspired, but I have time...
I'm doing shifts at Microcosm. It's the least stressful job I've ever had. Kudos to that. And there's soooo much good stuff in that one little room. I'm going to have to go in on my days off and start reading (some stuff I'm definately buying).
Here's some pics of my room. Everything, including bedding, curtains, furniture, black wicker divider and the like (except bed itself and the few books and nic naks I brought from home) totalled less than $100. Sometimes I look around and think it's funny to see what I packed in boxes to ship here. Skull lights, Richard Kern poster, Damned Dollies, big red fuzzy pillow... It's very cosy and I spend most of my time here when I'm not outside. I just put in full spectrum bulbs today. While I'm not totally out of mental misery my room cheers me up...
Marc Moscato and I are going to do an outdoor screening of educational films. The details need to be worked out. Marc seems to have these barebones ideas and acts on them while I'm the total opposite - I'll have an idea, think about it, do some research and then announce the idea. It should be pretty fun - we have three sources of films so far - my favourite at this moment is a sanitation one with lots of evil little critters and a narrator that is talks about "waging a war" on the vermin. I got excited thinking about the fact that we could do some "film education" at a free public screening like this. Let people know about the medium and how great it can be...
So as you can see I have a bunk bed. I've wanted one for a very long time. I thought "what the hell? I might as well get it now since I don't currently have a bed". So that means you have to visit right?
