"Simon, you need to learn about Danish girls...even if they say 'no' ten times it still doesn't mean they're not interested."

Yes...I'm learning alot on this beach. I've settled nicely back in to the beach way of life. Very chilled out and very relaxing. I've notched my seat in the seaside bar and that's generally where I can be found these days.

The weather of course is amazing and the tan is coming along nicely. The room can get pretty hot in the morning as we have no electricity during the day. But it's a nice place, and I'm back to flushing the toilet using the 'Aaron Copeland' method.

The scuba diving course was absolutely class. After a dodgy first dive in the pool when I didn't think it would take, I got pretty in to it. One of the best feelings imaginable when you're out there swimming with the fishes. Our instructor was pretty sound. The best way I can describe him is, if you had a par-tay, he would most likely turn up in a toga.

Diving basically takes over your life here and days are generally spent doing it, talking about it, joking about it, doing underwater hand signals in the bar (geeks), and watching movies about it (yes they exist, and yes they're shit).

I dug it so much that I decided to do my advanced course. Unfortunately when you're diving you have to stop drinking 8 hours beforehand, and that hasn't really happened. But I might get round to it soon.

Mike's not really in to it and he's reacted badly to something. He's feeling pretty rough and just hasn't been himself. He's on the mend though.

Instead I was going to do the course with an Israeli girl who became my main 'dive buddy'. However, she doesn't drink so went ahead without me and has since fucked off to China.

Yes, I've rounded up a good posse on this beach (Think Crazy Monkey, but a Pig instead). There's some serious banter heads here, including a couple of cute Danish girls, some Swedes (a conversation between Danish and Swedish is one of the coolest things you'll see), an Irish girl (it was good to get a taste of back home) and an English dude Ryan who, if he wasn't flying home in a couple of days, had the potential to become the next Rodney/Tim. Still, he's making a great drinking buddy until Mike's back on his feet.

It's all good here. I could happily stay indefinitely, but I think Mikey is getting bored so we might have to move on...possibly to Ko Phi Phi with the Danes. But I'm probably going to try and hang out here longer...the food is good, the beer is strong and cheap, the women are absolutely fantastic (the girl sat next to me now is one of the most amazing looking people I've ever seen), weather's great, diving's great. This is the place I'd been daydreaming about the last 6 months while I sat in the office. Why would I want to leave?

This is the most education I've gotten in years. We even had to study for a test.

I've learned some of the greatest drinking games on this holiday...including Ring Of Fire and The Magic Boomerang.

And the Danish are educating me about all sorts of things. I was dumfounded to learn that they have 2 extra letters in their alphabet, and yet still sing the same 'Alphabet Song'. We worked out that there's two gaps in the English version where you can squeeze extra letters in.

I thought that was brilliant. Actually, I think I'm still drunk.

Sand is still bullshit.
