The Longest Train in the World
Entry 7 of 32 | show all | print this entry |
This is the day I did not want to happen since we originally planned the trip. Mackenzie wanted to take a chinese train through the countryside from Beijing to our next stop, Hong Kong. We spent the extra money and got the "express" 26 hour train from Beijing direct to Hong Kong. We paid 650RMB each for the hard sleeper ticket. We got on the train and, we found that our birth that was supposed to have 6 people in it, only had 3! Lucky! That makes alot of extra space. So we talked to this family, who's daughter could speak english for about 30 minutes. Then this conductor walked bye and spotted the family....long story short, they were friends, and got upgraded leaving us 2 alone in the 6 person room!
After lots of boringness, eating and sleeping, we pulled into Hung Hom Train Station, Hong Kong!
