Yesterday, we hung out with my cousin Greta and her friends
Frederick, Josef, and Clara. We were going to go hop the fence
(legally) at the mini golf place, but it was open an hour later than we
expected (10 PM instead of 9). When we walked by the golf place, we
tried to hide the fact that we were going to avoid paying by hiding the
golf clubs under Frederick's jacket, but he raised his arms in victory
and they fell out. (You can use all Swedish facilities after hours for
use their pool, have a picnic on a roof, or play golf on a grassy
field. We compromised by having a picnic on a grassy field by a lake.
We tried playing golf, but on Josef's first hit he almost killed a
jogging couple. Instead, we feasted on gum and tic-tacs. We had a party
with a balloon that flew into Greta's face. We also annoyed the RV
campers down the way by making the balloon squeal. After abusing the
wooden playground equipment, we headed back. Greta found a slug and
everybody stopped to look (Swedish slugs are as long as pencils).
Frederick made a pun. In Swedish slug (larva) also means slow, so he
said, "Stop slugging." His second pun was when we got back to the house
and Greta was explaining her plans, but Clara didn't understand. In
Swedish "explain" translates to "forklara," so Frederick said,
"Forklara for Clara." It was pretty funny.
