We are sad to have to say goodbye to France. Alas, our last day was today. Tomorrow morning we wake up, have breakfast and head for the airport. We should be flying out by 1pm Paris Time (5am Mountain Time) and arrive in Houston by 4:30pm (after a 10 hr flight). I will stay on in Houston as I have work there on Wednesday and Thursday and Paul will continue on home to Taos (via Albuquerque).
Our last day: we had breakfast and took another one of those lovely trips that our friend who has an apartment in Paris gave to us. It took us through some interesting neighborhoods. We finally figured out the metro (wouldn't you know it, on our last day) and we made it up to the part of town where we had lunch last night since Paul left his new hat at the restaurant there
We are back at the hotel, have managed to pack for tomorrow and are calling it a night. I'm a little sad to be having to leave, but excited to be getting home soon. Hope you've enjoyed this trip with me/us. Until the next one, stay well.

Cold Paris Day Paul
. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed on Sundays. So we made our way back to the part of town where the hat store is (in hopes of finding it open). Since it is in the Jewish part of town, we passed by a falafel place and stood in line all of 5 minutes to get a falafel which we shared. We did some shoping today and made a small dent on Paul's credit card! Then we had a suggestion for a nice little restaurant where we had our final meal in France for this visit. Escargot, pate, pork ribs and duck confit along with cheeses and creme brulee were on the menu for us.We are back at the hotel, have managed to pack for tomorrow and are calling it a night. I'm a little sad to be having to leave, but excited to be getting home soon. Hope you've enjoyed this trip with me/us. Until the next one, stay well.

Feeling Sad For You
I can totally understand why you hate to leave Paris; it such an enchanting place and it sounds like you really did a thorough ENJOY of it. All is well here. My class Retreat was super this weekend and the Redskins won this afternoon, so this Sunday evening I am a happy camper once again. Travel safe my beautiful friends!!!
