Well, the adventure continues. I asked Paul yesterday if, perhaps, I should just come home, given all the challenges of the past few days. He encouraged me to continue with my plans. He said, it's an adventure, embrace it! And embrace it I have. The trip here continued to be less than predictable. My flight out of Washington was 3 hrs delayed (2 of those hours spent on the tarmac). I thought for sure I was going to miss my connection to Paris out of New York. When I did get to New York, my flight had not even boarded (it, too was 3 hrs late). We boarded within 30 minutes of my arrival in New York and then proceeded to sit on the tarmac for another 3 hrs. We eventually took off and our flight to Paris was as long as the two stints I spent on tarmacs before even leaving the US.
But, here I am
The photos are of Notre Dame Cathedral...I caught even prayer services today. There was no shortage of incense during the service, the chanting was mesmerizing and the space was absolutely powerful. I'll have more photos of the inside for you tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!

. I checked in to the hotel and took a 3 hr nap. Woke up, walked around the city of bit. Grabed dinner (French onion soup, duck a l'orange and apple tart...with a nice Bordeaux, of course). I'm now ready to call it a day so that I can hit the streets early in the morning. Hope all of you are well. The photos are of Notre Dame Cathedral...I caught even prayer services today.
