Well, yesterday in DC I left my computer case (with passport) on the taxi that dropped me off in the office. I must have an angel watching over me 'cause the taxi driver returned it to the hotel where he picked me up....there's more to this story, but that should give you a taste.
Now, just a few minutes ago (while I'm getting ready to get on a plane to Paris), I get a call from my credit card company that someone has stolen my credit card number and is using it in El Paso. We took care of that, but now my credit card is cancelled and they're sending me a new one to Taos. Luckily, Paul is bringing it with him on Monday when he comes to Paris. In the meantime, I have no credit card wtih me. Paul suggested this would be an adventure, so I'm still heading out.
If you don't hear from me in a day send food and money to the street in front of Notre Dame Cathedral!

Jorge everything happens for a reason. The clothes were easily replaced and luckily you've got your passport. (The most important item to get across the country0. Hopefully, they didn't charge up too much on your card. Enjoy your trip! Love ya, Maribel
