Did I mention I'm sick of of western style breakfast?

Anyways, after breakfast we met with Flick, Jimmy, Julia and First, our guide. We took a minivan around Samui for some sightseeing.

We visited a temple. This temple had a monk mummified in a glass box wearing sunglasses. He died in 1973, while meditating in the jungle. The sunglasses are to preserve his eyeballs from the sun. I bought a buddha amulet from a monk at the temple.

After we went to the waterfalls and had lunch there. There was an elephant chained up and it's was quite sad to sun.

We then drove to a local fisherman's market and bought 4 eels to release back into the water.

We visited another temple that had a huge golden buddah. There was a monk who was blessing these bracelets for money. Our guide, First, told him that we had already paid.
The monk insisted that we pay again. First offered to pay him. He refused saying that every one of us had to pay 100 Bahts to get the bracelet. First got mad, and told us to walk away from the monk. First removed his bracelet that he gotten from the same place, 2 years earlier, and threw it on the ground. He called the monk a fake for demanding so much money for the blessed bracelets. He ended up buying the same bracelets from a vendor close by and had us put them on in front of the monk to prove a point. He then proceeded to take a picture of the monk and later uploaded it to facebook

We drove on to see some more temples where we fed some fish and released the eels into the water while making a wish.

We then drove to a viewpoint, took some shots and then drove to the hotel.

We went for a swim in the ocean and went back to our room to freshen up.

I took a power nap while Mel showered.

We met with our group at 7pm and went to a beautiful oceanside restaurant. The food was really good but unfortunately, the service, not so much. After supper, Mel was feeling tired so she went back to the room.

I went with Shona from England to a live Muay Thai event. It was my first time watching thai boxing. It was really excited although it was hard to understand at times. The main event was a canadian against a thai. I cheered on the canuck as he destroyed his opponent in the first round.

After the fight we took a taxi back to the hotel and I went straight to bed to be in shape for early thai boxing session.
