We woke up this morning had breakfast and went down to the river.

A couple of thai guides were finishing up the bamboo rafts. The rafts were built entirely of bamboo. They could hold up to 5-6 people.

We had 3 rafts for our group. Our guide was fishing while navigating the raft. He caught 7 fish.

The raft ride down the river was about 4 hours, but we stopped halfway for a short break.

We got to swim alongside the raft when the current calmed down.

After the bamboo rafting, we traveled back to Chiang Mai in a pick-up truck. I rode on the roof. It was one of the greatest moments i've experienced. The jungles and villages of northern Thailand are breathtaking.

When we got back to Chiang Mai Gate Hotel, we showered and then head out to the laundromat. The laundromat was special... Some lady washes your clothes and hang dries for you. You pick up your clothe the next day.

We took a pick-up to the night bazaar. Mel and I got matching tattoos. I bought some flip-flops and and an iPhone charger since my old one short circuited in the socket of the hotel.
We took a tuk tuk back towards the hotel and stopped at the market for some street food. Spicy squid on a stick and a rotee for dessert.

We bought 2 Singhas at the 7/11 and went back to the hotel, drank our beers and went to bed.
