Big day for us tomorrow. We are moving in to our apartment for 12 months as the sale of our house goes through. This is gonna help us save some more cash ready for the big haul. It seems so far away, but then I thnk of all the stuff we have got to do, visas, jabs, etc  and I start to think there wont be enough time.

The first decision has been confrmed now for the tour. We are expecting to leave the UK in mid-June and go straight to Hong Kong on or around the 18th. Then after 3/4 days in Hong Kong we are going to book a tour to go round China. We were considering doing this by ourselves like the rest of the tour, but we have spoke to many people who have made us aware that the language barrier is just far to great. Its not only the spoken language but attempting to read as well. So it looks like we are going to plump for a tour run by Geckos Adventures. The tour is called China Odyssey (code GTCO) and leaves on the 22nd from Hong Kong. The tour takes in Days 1-2 Hong Kong, 3-5 Yangshuo, 6-9 Yangtze River Cruise, 10-12 Chengdu - Giant Pandas - Giant Buddha, 13-14 Xian - Terracotta Warriors, 15-17 Beijing - The Great Wall, 18 Suzhou, 19-20 Shanghai, 21 Hangzhou, 22-24 Yellow Mountain, 25-26 Shanghai. If anyone has done this tour before or has any information about it, please drop me a line and let me know.

There are many more decisions to be made over the next 12 months so I will try and keep you posted. Til next time....
