As to our trip to Lappland, I just can :)

On Sunday, Isabel, Katrin, Anssi and me started to see Lappland for a few days, not really having a plan or knowing what exactly we would be doing and where. The first day, we went up the western border of Finland, Finland itself on the one side of the road and Sweden on the other one. We had a very nice view on the beautiful nature and saw many things. The night we spend in a very nice cottage (they can be rent almost everywhere in Lappland).

After getting up at seven, we drove to Northern Lappland and the phanatastic coast of Norway, where it was not only cold, but we could already see snow lying there. On the way, we saw some made a break and explored a bit the place where we were, at a frozen moor area! We have seen our first reindeer today and took a lot of pictures and videos of them of course ;-) The cottage we had that night was not very warm (I had the impression, that it was even colder than outside), but after sauna, it was okay!

On the next day, when we went on at the Fjord coast of Norway, we decided to go on to the North Cape (which we actually didn't want to do, but we were relatively close, so we changed our mind). This was a very good decision, we had "just" to pay twice (once on the way to the Cape, once back), because the museum and restaurant and what else was up there, was closed.. On the way, there was also a tunnel going under the water (okay, we couldn't see it, but it's cool ;)) and when we were at the North Cape (the utmost point of Europe), it was very windy - we really had to "fight" against the wind to not be blown away ;-) and very beautiful as well.

After that, we went back to Lappland to stay in Inari (at the Lake of Inari) for the night in a hotel. There, some other exchange students also joined us and we decided to stay there for one more day to take a rest from just sitting in the car the whole day. Instead, we made a little hiking trip to an old wooden church (I think it was 4,5 km one way) and had a nice barbecue and traditional sauna (with jumping into the ice cold lake afterwards) together with some French guys and again other exchange students that came there on their homeward journey. This was all at the nice cottace we again had rent, made for actually 4 people and we were staying there with about eight ;-)

On this day, we also were lucky, because we had the chance to see the Northern lights (the French wording for them is nicer - Aurores Boréales or Lumières de la nuit) and could cath them with our cameras ;) Just coming out of the sauna, standing in the ice-cold lake and someone was looking up and telling us to look up as well and there they were, in green!
All in all, these holidays were really cool and we've seen soo many things, I am just happy, that we did it :)
