Anybody seen Agent Orange?

After all the R&R in halong bay, me and the Melbourne girls caught a $50 flight down to central Vietnam to check out the DMZ (de-militarized zone) and the north and south divide where most of the 'American' war was played out. Also the the chance to drag my lanky arse through the viet cong tunnels. They ain't exactly big fellas them Vietnamese and them tunnels weren't exactly big either. After about 15 minutes of stooping, slipping and tripping, we emerged at the beach entrance. A pretty cool system of tunnels actually, although I wouldn't have wanted to spend months on end living in them, with American B52's flying over head releasing agent orange on anything that looked green. Hue was a really nice part of Vietnam, so I'm told, but given that it was chucking it down in a typhoon for more than a couple of days I didn't get to see much. At first I resisted the almost 'must have' trend of a multi-coloured poncho, but after seeing the girls in their fetching blue and purple ones I just had to get one. Managed to find myself a pretty cool military green one, just so as i'd fit in with the locals.
