Mui Ne is a beach, one road, lots of restaurants and guesthouses and that's it. The resort if you can call it that is between two towns and has been built specially for tourists. All the same though it was nice to chill out for a couple of days. Didn't start that way though as the bus dropped us about 4km at the top of the resort where all you had was two guesthouses and the a poor bit of the beach. We set off walking in the baking sun.
After walking a bit we broke and hailed the only taxi that we saw as we didn't fancy getting on a motorbike with our big backpacks. First place we stayed in was expensive and although it backed onto the beach, coastal erosion had worn it away. Changed places for a cheaper much nicer place the next day and of course one that was right beside the beach.
The beach itself was a little disappointing it wasn't the white sand and clear waters we had been dreaming of. The waves in the sea were actually quite large and strong so were a little bit dangerous. And yes our pasty white skin got a little sunburnt.
Still nice quite before all the noise of Saigon.
