Decided to break up the long journey by spending half a day in the mountains before heading on to Mui Ne. Arrived in the early afternoon and noted an immediate change from coastal Nha Trang, namely that of the fact that it was pouring down with rain. The rain was so bad that we decided to stay in the hotel that they dropped us at. The room wasn't great but it was cheap and the bus left from there the next morning.
After the rain had somewhat subsided we ventured out to go to an ATM to pay for our accommodation. Unfortunately most of the tourist sites weren't in walking distance but after wandering around we realised were somewhat close to one of them. After some more searching we found that we were close to a unusual house of a local architect so we decided to take a look. Unusual does not do this "house" justice. Best described as a sprawl of non defined buildings which housed rooms like the crocodile and beer room of all shapes and sizes. The wet photos here don't do it justice.
On the way back and another heavy shower ensued, I spotted some raincoats in a stall/ shop. When I say raincoat I mean that it is a glorified bin bag with a hood. It's made of the same material but can't complain as it kept us dry.
Had a quiet dinner that night and setting out early in the morning to the beach town of Mui Ne.
