My next stop from Barbados was St Lucia. Well anyone who knows me well knows that one of my best friends Bev, is a St Lucian in and out so naturally when I landed in her hometown I couldn't resist giving her a call. She was at work in London at the time and so I decided to make her a little jealous. Lol...ok, that sounds cruel and yes it was but in a couple months we'll both be on holiday here for a few days.
I spent a couple hours at the little airport in Castries also much improved because of the 20/20 Cricket World Cup. I'm not obsessed with immigration officers but I must give those St Lucian immigration officers a thumbs up! They were so warm and friendly. One of them pointed out a little breakfast bar to me so I was able to have some hot cocoa tea and a pie before going back into the waiting area. So much for venturing out of the airport, there is wireless internet at the airport and we all know that I'm an internet junkie. I used my phone to pick up the wireless connection, downloaded my emails and by the end of that it was time to board another plane for my flight to Dominica. Again, not many pics but here are some pics of the tiny 12 seater. I got a good seat right behind the pilot but I didn't want to take too many photos just in case I disturbed them. Next destination....Dominica!!
