Months of preparation have finally paid off and I am now out of the London office and in the extremely hot and sunny Caribbean.

London Gatwick:  So much for automatic on line checking in!!! I had a rookie at the bag drop section who made my life hell for 20 mins. She tried to charge me £75's for the weight of my luggage but I used the Felix charm and finally after much deliberation I was on my way to the shopping hall.  Loaded up on the essential chocolates, perfumes then I was off for my 10 hour journey.  The journey was uneventful, I watched movies, played video games, ate and slept for a wink.

Grenada: Today is my 3rd day in Grenada and it's around 35 degrees again today.  The only thing that I can do right now is to sit around in my shorts and a vest next to the fan.  A little later I'm going to hit the mall and then go to the beach to cool down.  I've been in Grenada since Thursday evening and I haven't slept at home as yet.  I've been staying in the south of the island about 5 mins away from Grande Anse beach with my cousins.    My German cousins arrived from Dominica on Thursday as well so we got straight into sorting out some family business.  There's so much work to be done, meetings to go to but I've found some time to have fun. It's good to be around family and friends.

Fish Friday's @ Gouyave: Last night I went to a place called Gouyave (pronounced Gwav) which is located on the Western side of the island for every popular Fish Fridays.  Despite the horrible jet lag I enjoyed myself.  Before we got to the busy streets of Gouyave we could smell the lovely aroma of Bar B Q'd fish and fried fish.  It seemed as though a couple streets were blocked off so that several people could set up their stalls to sell fish products.  Fish pizza, steamed fish, fried fish, baked fish, lobsters, crabs, bakes, cakes, local sweets and drinks were amongst the selection of goodies to buy.  I met up with my friend Lee who's also on holiday in Grenada for a few more days.  In all it was a good night.

Going out now: Today I spent almost 2 hours trying to figure out how to download pics from my new camera.  I'm still working on it so please be patient.  More pics will come.  I'm going to meet up with my friend so that we can go have a swim.  My mum's coming back to Grenada today as she has been away at a meeting on another island called St Vincent for the past 2 days.  I also spent a good 1/2 hour trying to figure out how to use this website so who knows how it's going to look.  Right now, it' just too hot to think so I'm gone.  I'll write again soon.
