go, we gave in and put the work horse to good use.
I saw my first sea wind farm, very dramatic, just off Arklow, which is where we are this evening.
Sitting in a bar in the high street enjoying a pint.
The sailing today was smashing, moderate sea, gusty, varying from a 3 to 7. One hour we averaged 7.4 knots over the hour!
Again entry was tricky, but at least I had been here before, although fat lot of good that did me! One of the lights was out on the entry, and there were loads of large vessels which there weren't the last time I was in. So we squeezed on the end of the pontoon to discover that slightly further up there was loads of room...which we couldn't see in the dark. This time of year the daylight hours are so reduced, unlike the long days of the Scottish summer we had earlier in the year.
The new engine appears to be performing well, it's a beta 40, four cylinder, we are averaging 2.85 liters per hour at 2,500 revs.
Well that's it, tomorrow we strike for home, the winds are fair...ish! Wish us luck!
