We upped anchor just after 10 and motored gently out of Loch Gairloch with a fishing line out. Soon we had caught 2 large Pollock. We motored on, southwards, passing the islands of Rona and Rassey, which lie just off the East side of Skye. Our destination is the picture postcard port of Plockton.

We have left behind the craggy rugged Outer Hebrides and have now retunred to the softer scenery of the inner islands and mainland.

We spent a few hours ashore, but I was a bit dissapointed with the town (or village.) There was light rain - I expect it would all have been much nicer in the sun.

Chris on

I'm sorry to hear about the problems. Still after a week in Stornoway, I would think you would be quite happy to wake up every 4 hours, just to prove you were still alive!
Are you still going to circumnavigate through the canal or are you heading back through the Irish Sea?
