Just a quick update to say that my 'planned' few days in Goa might now have changed.

I left Palolem just before 9 and managed a stunning 40 km helmetless ride along the coast. It was so relaxing and I only saw one truck in all that time.

I then rejoined NH17 and headed into Panjim where I had a nice piece of cake and a coffee. So good was the cake that my chubster self had a second slice - yum yum.

Panjim was busy and the whole area seemed to have so much more traffic than the last time I was here, which was probably 8 - 10 years ago. I then followed the main road towards Calangute intent on seeing what changes had taken place. Suffice to say I didn't recognise the place! I know I didn't like it too much the last time but even so...............terrible.

If I was a tourist dropped here for two weeks in the sun I'd be counting the days until I could fly home
There were more tattooed ferangis than I thought possible and it just appeared full on. I took a quick photo and headed on up the coast visiting some old haunts on my way up. It was good to see but I'm happily now in the north of Goa in a more relaxed area. The room I've rented is a bargain but guess I'll only be here a day or so.

The reason for this will become clear as I may have come up with a cunning plan.

From here I'll be heading up the coast towards Mumbai then cutting inland towards Pune.

Sorry Chap - you know where I'm heading!

No photos I'm afraid as I'm in an internet cafe.
