The choice of ailments I potentialy have - from a wide available selection - include, amongst others, malaria and dengue fever. Given my enthusiasm for self medication I've commenced a course of Domestos strength anti biotics and with all things crossed will gradually improve over the next few days.
One of the possible symptoms for illnesses such as these is swollen lymph glands and I can already hear the UK cries of 'No - not again'.
I can happily report though, that this time things are all tickety boo with my groin area glands and there is no need for a sharp knife (from my garage) and some self surgery. To those that are thinking ' what's he on about now' suffice to say, I was young, foolish and almost died as a result. Self surgery? Don't be silly - go visit a doctor ;-)
Anyway, I digress - I've taken 'rest' for most of today but still managed to find the energy for a bit of maintenance on the mighty impulse. I'm clearly not that ill but bikes always do help make me feel better.
So, new air filter, plug, re glue blind spot mirror and I fitted new grips. The old ones were no doubt worn from squeezing so tight whilst facing impending doom over the last 8000 miles. My touratwat beaded seat cover also got altered slightly as the rider's bit was falling apart - I cut it off and am now using the pillion pad. I also gave my nuts a once over (don't be rude) and am happy to report they're all fine.
I will leave here tomorrow and continue on my merry way north.
If you're reading this Fredster - please tell Jacob I'll maybe see him for a blood test in early December.
And no 'age' jokes - you know what I mean!!!!!!!!!i
