Show trip route
We took various routes around the glacier and then took a boat up close. As usual we were all delighted to be told to be very careful as the ramp to the boat was very unsafe..what is it with these people!
Everytime I looked that the glacier it looked more magical than the previous time
The journey to and from the glacier was also pretty and we saw pink flamingos.
Of course as is the current trend with us we somehow managed to lose our group and got lost. Fortunately we bumped into some others who were lost and we eventually found our original route and caught up (although the danger signs on our path were only noticed on the return route). However, we then realised that where we had ended up on our īlostī route was right next to our final destination, oh well. It was a superb day.
When we got back we were so tired that after dinner with another two backpackers, James (American) and Anthony (New Zealand) we headed home. I think all the backpackers in South America are in this part of the continent. It has been fun meeting other gringos again.
Otherwise we have just pottered around this little place enjoying the views, took the trip to Torres, and of course we got a little confused getting back to our hostel at one point..the joys of having no sense of direction.
The good thing is these last two places had central heating..and indeed were surprised to hear that other countries did not!
