Still tired after our festival exertions, we wandered this charming city a little, rode the shortest funicular railway in europe up to the old town to look at the views, ate tasty food, and then retired to our luxurious room to plan out next leg - down to the coast...

Hellooo fair travellers
Hello Tess, hello Si,

Have just enjoyed catching up on your travelogue. Loved the sound of the opera toilets in Vienna! I was there in 1993 (Vienna, not the toilets) and remember the big palace and gardens too. Fab city isn't it?

So will you be planing a return to the Budapest fest? Sounds like a great laugh, altho' after emerging from our tent after only 4 nights at the Big Chill with a dodgy neck, not sure how well Id cope with 7 nights...

We made it to London last weekend but not to your flat (as you're obviously aware by now or we'd have been in touch). 11 of us in a 15seater minbus... the cheapest way to get all of us up there, great trip for those of us with short legs. Maybe we could all take it to the Budapest fest next year? Then again, with its speed restricted to 62 mph, maybe not. Bad enough on the M4 but we'd probably get asked to leave the autobahns!

Have a super time down on the coast!

If you're back by the 8th Sept and haven't quite had enough of driving and camping by then?! join us at Kentisbeare for Neil's 40th! birthday bash.

Lots of love

Claire xx
