Hi guys,

Sorry it's been so long...some of you may or may not know that my plans changed direction when the USA decided to refuse me entry into the USA....due to a misdemeanor 13yrs ago i needed to apply for a visa before entering.

So i took a flight to Madrid & spent a few weeks relaxing & topping up my tan at Mum & Micks in Coin. I was very well fed & watered & the sun shone everyday reaching temperatures of over 40degrees!

I then decided to visit my friend Andy in France,so took the train from Malaga to Madrid, then Madrid to Irun which is on the border of france & Spain & Andy was kind enough to drive 450km to pick me up! A golden lion head

! Thankyou so much Andy!

Andy lives in a quaint little french village called Couhe & it is surrounded by lots of countyside & fields & fields of sunflowers. We had lots of lovely 3 & 5course lunches & dinners with many of Andy's friends,we took walks in the countryside & visited lots of little villages.

We went to a concert in Couhe & also a concert in Cognac where they make all different brands of brandy & we sampled quite a few of them too!

We were invited to a BBQ with Robair & many of Andy's friends came also,Sidney & Ilene from England & Debroah from USA. Lots of great food & booze.

We also went to visit The Martyr village of Oradour sur Glane where time has stood still since June 10th 1944. A whole village was murdered by the Germans after the war. Very sad but definately worth a visit.

Ilene & Sid invited me to spend the day at their B&B to make use of the swimming pool which was much appreciated Andy's place in Couhe

. We also visited La Vallee des singes which is a beautiful monkey sanctuary with over 30species of monkeys. They are not in cages but roaming freely in the trees where they come down to see us weird tourists. They appear friendly & happy within their enviroment & you can attend feeding times throughout the day. The only thing that seperates you from them is water which apparently they don't like to cross!

I have a few days left here & we are heading north a little past Poitiers to stay with a friend of Andy's & then i will take a night Hotel train on Wed eve to Malaga where Mum & Mick will pick me up for another week at theirs to celebrate Mum's birthday & then i will fly to Copenhagen & continue my travels around Europe.

Just wanted to add a quick note to say what a wonderful time i had in the countryside in Roche-Posay with Andy, Katy, Lidia & Felix & 4 very beautiful dogs!

We stayed up all night long drinking, talking & eating Katy's divine French Crusine, weird & wonderful cheese,s & lots of bubbles. I was made to feel like one of the family.

The weather was fantastic & we all went walking with the dogs to a beautiful river for a well needed swim.

I will remember you always.xxx

Bye for now, will write again soon. Next stop Copenhagen.
