Hey guys, well i left Panama after Bocas Del toro & stopped in a little village on the caribbean coast called Cahuita. It is about 10km away from Peurto Viejo where there is a good surfin coast. I decided on the calmer waters & being very close to the national Park.
I took a tour to see a poor Indian family & their was invited into their home which was all made out of palm trees weaving the palm leaves on the roof to protect from the rain & using the huge long thing trunk as floor boards. They collect water from a small pipe which is place at the top of the mountain & they take just a little power for light from the main cables.
The weather was also good here & i loved the National Park which is full of beautiful animals from small colourful crabs to different species of Monkeys. They are all raoming free & don't shy away when people come to have a look, them see to like it. The National park also have some beautiful sandy beaches. I also took a walk to Playa Negro which is a lovely beach on the coast with soft black sand...Cahuita is a cool place to hang out with only reagae music playing & lots of true Caribbean Rastafarian's with their dreadlocks, colourful hats & a nice white woman on there arms. So i spent 3 nice relaxing days here & will just spend 2 nights in San Jose before my flight to Miami.
So take care all, will be in touch again soon luv Jo. More thumbnails ...
