The people are really friendly & always try to say hello,how are you in English when they see tourist because not so many people travel here. They loved my big blue eyes!
I visited the Historic city where there is ahuge salt mountain which is still mined today & has a huge salt cathedral inside the mountain where they still hold weddings,concerts(Pavarotti was last to play here) & they where filming a Colombian soap inside while we were there

.I also visited La Candeleria which is the old city of Bogota, it was the weekend & people everywhere, huge markets & streets packed with people selling anything & everything. I took a wrong turning & found myself in a park full of homeless people & stray dogs, the homeless all wanted to take my camera so i could be in the photo i was taking of the church!..i decided to head back to where the army where patrolling the streets.
I also visited a small historic city called Cali which is close to the Ecuador border. There are some beautiful red birds here. There is alos a park full of statueīs of Cats!! all different oneīs like Bandaged up, Gold, Tribal, Iīll post pictures to explain more!
The Museums arenīt open on Sundays but when i was there it was National Museum Sunday so i got to see them all for free! there was a tour guide & after the 1st 10mins of the tour in Spanish i didnīt have the heart to tell here i couldnīt understand a word she had said so i just smiled & followed here around the museum & of course said gracias when she was finished!
Well thatīs my tour of South America over, & now iīm heading to C.America. Will write again soon, bye for now Jo.
