hi guys, so i am now in peru. I crossed the border from Lake Titicaca. We had to put the clocks back one hour. I took a bus all the way to cusco & spent 4 days touring the city & of course visiting machu picchu!
It is a really nice city, very busy & lots of Cathedrals & ruins to see. There is also a huge statue of Christ looking down on the city of Cusco.
The weather is still good. A little cooler at night but hot & sunny in the daytime. the hostel i stayed in was full of Israeli´s & i felt like i had switched countries!
I then took a bus straight to Lima & am staying in a real nice area called Miraflores. The hostel is one block away from the beach which is very popular for surfers
The area is very busy, full of nice hotels & casino´s & people on the streets selling anything & everything they can.
I went to the city today to see the change of the guards which was good, with an orchestra & marching men it lasted about 45mins.
Tomorrow i take a bus for 38hours to Equador, Quito. I do not fly out of Lima till the 26th May so have decided to explore South America a little more.
Take care, till next time Jo.
