I'm dreaming right now, conjuring up a fantastic, joyful Bali 'Bliss-Ball' of goodness, reconnecting me to the amazing Island of the Gods that I left in May--so long ago and so much has happened in between!
All you really need to know is that Bali is incredible. The people, the energy, community, sights, smells...just everything. My days were filled with love and bliss, pure and simple. From the lovely guesthouse I stayed at (filled with other yogis that Doah and I brought in!) to the wonderful space of the Yoga Barn where I immersed myself in yoga, dance, kirtan and community. A huge highlight was the six day Balispirit Yoga and Music Festival which was a beautiful canvass for learning, experiencing, playing, connecting and rejoicing. There is so much good out there in this world and I am blessed to be a part of it; we all are.
I traveled beyond Bali too, taking in Yogaykarta on Java and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Visiting Borobudur, the largest Buddhist monument site in the world, was a huge pilgrimage place for me (many, many Buddhas!). Climbing Mount Bromo was very special, too...as well as Mount Batur back on Bali. You all know I've done quite a lot of hiking and Batur is one of the best hikes ever--climbing a volcano on a full moon night is breathtaking (no, not dangerous).
On my way to the states for a quick five day visit with Sven, I got to stop in Taipei, Taiwan (gotta love it when the government decides to offer you a free tour into the city rather than have you eat all their free samples in the duty free shops during your long layover). So I had my bubble tea fix (the driver stopped for me!) and all was merry.
Bali could be one of those places I would plant for a few months of each year...when and if I ever plant! I love the Bali glow, the light, that gets into your soul...and there it lives and breathes.
Love all ways, Heather
